This corner of both states is wooded hills, rocky ground, creeks and pasture. Eastern red cedar is a problem on the Oklahoma side, where Oklahoma State University Extension warns it harms water and air quality and can cause catastrophic wildfires.

Cost-share in Oklahoma and Arkansas
- EQIP, the federal program, is open to farm, ranch and forest land in both states. Apply through the USDA Service Center for your county before any work starts.
- Oklahoma's state cedar program lists 23 eligible conservation districts for its 2027 round. None of them are in the northeast counties we serve, so for land here, federal EQIP is the better bet.
- The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's Conservation Incentive Program offers landowners money back for some wildlife habitat work. Its most recent habitat round closed February 6, 2026, and AGFC has an interest form for future habitat work.

Probably not. Most of this area is inside our 150 miles. Miami is about 73 miles from Nevada, Missouri, as the crow flies and Bentonville about 102. Fayetteville is about 123, Harrison about 131 and Tulsa about 147. Tell us where the job is, how big it is and your timing. Jim will tell you whether we can take it.
